Low-Tech and Mid-Tech Adaptions assisting students with Disabilities in Computing Math Assignments

Not all adaptions for students with disabilities must be considered high tech.  In fact, there are several low tech and mid tech adaptions that can be made to help students with disabilities in computing math assignments.  For example, manipulatives have been used for years as low tech adaptions for students.  A ruler that has multiple overlays can help students with visual impairments.  A mid tech example would be a talking calculator.  Do not get wrapped up that all assistive technology is high tech and expensive.  There are several different low and mid tech adaptions that can be made in your classroom to help students with disabilities!
